Obama - Your Pro-Business President
For such an anti-business president, Obama’s got a pretty pro-business record

Since 1950, corporate tax receipts have averaged 2.7 percent of GDP. In the Obama years, they’ve averaged 1.16 percent of GDP.

...

If there’s been serious distress from these policies, it’s been hard to detect in corporate bottom lines. After taxes, corporate profits amounted to 6.9 percent of GDP in 2010 — their highest level since 1966.

None of this makes him a pro-business president. Nor does anything else. He's not. Not even remotely close.

RE: Obama - Your Pro-Business President
Obama forced Obamacare on business large and small. The proposed increases in corporate taxes to pay for several of his programs and the massive EPA regulations are just as bad. Obama has been a drag on job creation from day 1. When he talks about more firefighters and teachers to help the private sector it just proves how uneducated he is on basic economics. That just creates more tax burden for the private sector. He thinks he can just create public sector jobs by printing money and handing it to states while exploading the national debt. Obama has no intention of addressing the debt. Its someone elses problem. That is how we got here because several prior presidents and Congress passed the buck. Obama is part of the same old problem and not the solution. Hope Romney has the backbone that Ron Paul and Rick Perry showed by attacking the budget. Starting with the department of Education, Energy, Commerce, and Defense for major cuts.

Reading the resident Dim's neverending attempts to prop up this jug-eared jack@ss as some faithful proponent to capitalism and a hard-charger fiercely promoting and improving the US business climate borders on the hysterical.

These people are in 100% full tilt campaign mode and are trying to act like the past 3.5 years NEVER happened.

Payback is a gold-plated b!tch. The first Tuesday in November is gonna be fun.

Sadly, there are enough people on the govt tit, to make it possible for O to get re-elected.

RE: Obama - Your Pro-Business President
Obama is not pro-business. No way, no how, not ever.

American businesses are enjoying some successes despite Obama because American businessmen are sufficiently resourceful to find ways to succeed no matter what. It is those who are nevertheless successful in spite of Obama that are the heroes, not Obama.

As I have said before, my greatest cause for optimism lies in remembering that when Richard Nixon gave us the 55mph speed limit, Americans learned how to use CB radios. There will always be Americans who are bright enough and motivated enough and resourceful enough to overcome the shackles that our government places upon them.

While I agree that Obumble's vision of governments role in America is NOT pro business....... the exodus of jobs to "low cost poles" started way before 2008 - he certainly hasn't done anything to promote business.

Oooops, I forgot, he promotes "green" businesses that can't succeed in the open market, only with government prop-ups.

Ooooops, lots of those have entered bankruptcy lately.

Owl, you're just being plain stupid. If businesses fail, Obama fails and loses his job and power and likely sets the democratic (read socialist if you must) agenda back 4 or 8 more years. He is certainly for business to do well. Now if his policies don't work, that's another matter, but don't sit there and try to polish your continual turd that he is purposefully trying to ruin this country or whatever the heck you believe!

Driving business to the edge of bankruptcy then bailing them out is not pro business. It's putting them in your pocket.

Fascist socialist.
