COTUS's handlers can try to "explain" what the Teleprompter-in-Cheif MEANT with the very simple sentence "The private sector is fine"....but most every American heard it within the spoken context and recognized legitimate IDIOCY when they heard it.

All the unemployed...and underemployed...and people so discourage they have quit looking and therefore do not count toward "unemployed"...those on food stamps or other assistance...the young adults getting angry about no jobs being available...the 50+ crowd that is being pushed out of jobs...these are the Americans who fully understand things are not exactly FINE with the private economy. They also realize the dumb@ss in the Oval Office is TRULY and MONUMENTALLY out of touch with them - everyday people struggling to make ends meet.

You can argue that Romney is also an out of touch wealthy person but there are at minimum THREE MAJOR differences between COTUS and Mitt:
1) Romney has worked in the private sector.
2) Romney has "organized" and led a major effort like the Winter Olympics.
3) Romney has been a Governor that had to balance a budget each and every year.

All those things...and he still sucks ass. I see almost no difference in Mittens and Obama. Both are lousy as hell.

I will say one thing for Mitt.

This is one case where I'd rather take my chances with the devil I don't know than with the devil I do know.

I agree....but...I still am going to have a hard time with supporting anyone that wears magic underwear. As of now....another in a long line of protest votes for me.

Texas won't be close, so I am free to make my protest vote without affecting the outcome. In that context, I think the protest statement is a better use of my vote than voting for either of them.

If Texas were somehow to tighten up, I'd hold my nose and vote for Mitt.

At least this time there is someone in Gary Johnson that I can vote for without holding my nose--unlike 2008 when there wasn't.

I'm certainly not a Romney guy but as an ABO voter, he will have to do.

For all the criticism of him from the right, folks forget something. A "Republican" in Massachusetts is like a blue dog democrat. The GOP has so little influence in that state that when you "work with the opposition" what comes out of it is a lite version of what the liberals would likely have done themselves. Kind of like faux conservative guv Arnold S. in California. In other words, past results are not indicative of future results, or something like that. We don't know how Romney will operate in the wild, as his past results were not achieved in a politically balanced environment. I'm under no delusions he is conservative, though. More like a centrist that might need to be nudged right on some issues.
