RE: Obama: The Private Sector is Doing Just Fine
I am so pro American economy right now. First we have to get off oil and on natural gas but you can't do that until oil becomes so expensive that it's not worth it. That will be key and everytime oil goes up and natural gas becomes a better option the powers that be start with their fcukery. Then we need to develop our train system so that we can combine air, train, roads to be highly efficient. Lastly we need to be a technology global power. Drones, laser guided missiles, hacking. We always fight the last war. The next war won't require troops on the ground all the time. We are in a nadar now which will probably last until 2018-19, but we will be back.

Sad.

A bigger joke is the number of lawyers cranked out by diploma mills in the US, INCLUDING HARVARD. There should be a limit on the number of parasites that can be introduced into the US each year. 03-lmfao

And there you have folks. The difference between conservatives and progressives. Progressives believe that tomorrow will be better than today because we all can/will be better. Conservatives believe that what we have is the best that it's gonna get and they don't want to change sh1t. In fact they believe that yesterday was better than today, so they want to go back to that. Summary. Progressives: tomorrow is better. Conservatives: yesterday was better.

Actually, they prefer the 1800's not yesterday.

Optimism or Pessimism is unimportant. What is important is accurate judgment of reality. If you're optimistic about tomorrow, but you're completely wrong, then how has that helped anything? And vice-versa. Right now things look very bad, we have huge unfunded liabilities, an insolvency crisis brewing and both parties are talking about BS that doesn't matter.

And there you have it folks, another progressive who has no idea what he is talking about. Someone who has some stupid fool idea in his mind that has no chance for reality. Yes you are delusional, go pedal that sh!t elsewhere.

So you think it's better to sell the country down a river today with the belief tomorrow will be better. Please tell me you don't manage your life and finances that way.

RE: Obama: The Private Sector is Doing Just Fine
Quote:But in truth, the president doubled down, explaining again his argument that the only real problem that the private sector really has is the decline in government hiring as federal stimulus funds have dried up.

The attempt at a do-over was more noteworthy to most because the president flubbed again in trying to undo his previous flub, saying “It is absolutely clear that the economy is not doing fine. That’s the reason I had the press conference.” (Imagine if George W. Bush had said that he held a press conference to fix the economy.)

Proof positive of the bias in the MSM.

Where was that clip from? Was that a Politico piece?

Btw, Politico is NOT news. It is opinion.

RE: Obama: The Private Sector is Doing Just Fine
Here, Obama argues for "trickle down".

Quote:Obama argues that raising taxes and borrowing to keep government employment at stimulus levels is a good economic solution since much of the money borrowed or taken makes its way back into the economy and helps spur private-sector hiring. A dogcatcher is hired with stimulus funds, he goes out to his local pub to celebrate his first schnauzer pinched, the proprietor has to buy more beer and corn nuts and, if there are enough new stimulus hires at the county government building around the way, maybe bring on some extra waitress shifts.

That's not exactly what this says. This is an endorsement of the stimulus. Unless you mean that instead of trickle down from the wealthy Obama supports trickle down from the government. Which is a bad idea.

I was making fun of our resident confused, anti-trickle down mental patients.
