Here's the final breakdown for the League. FAU's Alvarez was the highest pick overall:

Arkansas State – 3 (Faulkner, Farley, Lee)
Florida Atlantic – 3 (Alvarez, Garton, Newton)
FIU – 3 (Henry, Martinez, McVay)
Louisiana-Monroe – 3 (Rapp, Sy, Zeigler)
Louisiana-Lafayette – 1 (Harrison)
Middle Tennessee – 1 (Adkins)

ASU had one recruit drafted... Adam Grantham in the 32nd round by the Braves. We expect him to come to school.

Georgia Southern had 5 players drafted including a 1st, 2nd and 6th round pick. Not that we are in the conference, but hopefully we will be this time next year.

FIU had 6 signees/commitments drafted, and 4 players drafted (since Rudy Flores was suspended indefinitely).

Recruits signed:

1, Nick Basto (SS/3B) 5th Round by the White Sox

2. Alexis Rivera (OF/1B) 10th Round by the Royals

3. Phildrick Llewellyn (Catcher) 13th Round by the Diamondbacks

4. Reid Scoggins (JUCO Pitcher) 15th Round by the Angels

5. Yency Almonte (Pitcher) 17th Round by the Angels

6. Charles Vazquez (Catcher) 40th Round by the Brewers

I think we are losing the top 5 from that list, so we only get 1 of the draftees, most likely. At the most, we get 2 (either Scoggins or Almonte joining Vazquez), but I doubt it.

This is the first I can remember in a long time that no South players got drafted. We are a long way from where we once were.

If your 1st round pick had been healthy this season, GSU would have been a completely different team. Hate to see that.

Appalachian had 4 players drafted this year and surprisingly, our best hitter was not among them. I'd be very surprised if Daniel Kassouf did not land a free agent deal somewhere, that kid can pound the ball.
