LoL @ UNCC fans. Really? You don't even have a football program. We have a successful, FBS program.

We have a D1 basketball program that has beaten you in recent years. We have beaten NC State & Memphis recently.

I know you're butthurt about Shamarr Bowden, but don't make yourself look anymore foolish than you already have.

ECU - FBS Football / UNCC - No Football
ECU - D1 Basketball / UNCC - D1 Basketball

You've made 2 tournaments in your history both in losing seasons other than that what have you really done? One or two wins doesn't make a program.

The only reason Shamarr Bowden matters to me, is he got drubbed with the rest of your team last year and he will get drubbed again this year.

It's downright comical that ECU fans are talking crap about basketball. Can't wait until Lebo brings his team of castoffs and jucos to Halton.

Fact is, your *flagship* sport is in a discussion with apparently (according to you) the worst basketball program in America. How sad is that? Must suck to know your best sport, the one you hang your hat on, just isn't anywhere as good as you think.

Lol tell that to Ruffin buddy05-stirthepot

That said... we are too similar to be bickering all the time. I notice that other than UCF fans, UNCC fans are the quickest to get a nasty reponse from Pirate fans and vice versa... we should be focusing all of our hate towards the Triangle.

Hahahaahahaha I love you, guy. I've actually been an ECU football fan because my brother graduated from there. I've been at Dowdy-Ficklen to watch some of Skip Holtz's finest. I've also been there to witness the downturn. Ruffin is not the man for the job.

Seriously though, don't ever call me a Heel fan. Not cool bro.

Sorry...forgot about that neutral site game in Charleston in 2010. I was actually in Charleston that weekend and ran into a few Charlotte fans, but the game was prior to me getting there.

That being said, that was like the third game that Lebo had coached and that team improved a lot through the year.

This past year, the game was early in the season, and Lebo was trying to replace 3 starters. I expect a more ready team to play this time around and going forward.

What about trying that same comparison with post-season wins

ECU football - 8 all time
ECU basketball - 0 all time

Charlotte basketball - 7 all time
Charlotte football - 0 all time

I would probably be more careful about calling people foolish. If you think HAVING a d1 basketball program puts you in the same sentence as Charlotte then you are just silly. Accomplish something, anything, in basketball and then let's talk.

I mean who needs SJing when all you kids have jumped on his band wagon. It is common knowledge among Charlotte students that Shamaar asked to come back LONG before ECU was in the conversation. The fact of the matter is that he is a strong 3 pt shooter who does nothing else. Ball movement stops with him. If he's on, then your team is probably reaping benefits, when he's off he brings nothing to the table.

No post season wins is wrong. Conference tournaments are post season and we had plenty wins there. NCAA tournament wins, yes, is zip. Just to be clear.

Oh, and championship game are post season as well so add 2 to our total there.

NCAA or bust buddy. The fact that you are trying to count NIT, CBI or CIT wins further proves my point. If you can't make the field of 64 ( or 68 whatever the hell it is now) then it means nothing.

Well you have us beat in one relatively minor sport. Wow. Big deal.

Here's the difference between Charlotte and ECU basketball:

They fired Bobby Lutz after a 19–12 (9–7) season.

We haven't won 9 conference games in a season since 1996 or 19 games in a season since 1975!

I can only hope we reach a point where less than 20 wins is a disappointing season relatively soon.

Wow, really? If you want to count NIT and Conf. Tourney wins, Charlotte's number will literally be atleast 35 or 40 total (maybe more).

Yes, ECU basketball sucks historically.....BAD. We're worse than bad historically, we're ******* abysmal. Like Chappy said, I'd love to be at the point where less than 20 wins is a huge disappointment.

We're finally making a little bit of progress but pointing out 2 seasons in CUSA with a 32-31 record isn't exactly much to be proud of considering some of the wins were D2. Hopefully Lebo can build on the little bit of success we've had and the practice facility.

I hope so! The practice facility should help us out significantly, but nothing will help us more than Lebo winning a bunch of games.

Except for the fact that every ECU fan on here is defending ECU hoops. We have some crappy fans who like UNC, sure... but Charlotte does too. The VAST majority of ECU football fans also would say ECU basketball is their #1 team. We just haven't been good, so most don't watch it.

That's probably the biggest misconception I hear about ECU fans. If you believe that I have one suggestion for you. Check some other ECU sites (rivals, byb, hoist the colors) ANYTIME negative news breaks about UNC. You'll find more UNC haters per capita than anywhere else except for packpride or a blue devils site.

A more correct statement would be ECU fans don't care about basketball at all if anything. That's not neccessarily 100% true either.
