Our back line is in deep trouble
Boca and Gooch looked very old and slow. Really bad ball control by both. We have got to find servicable replacements!!!!!!!!

I thought Cameron looked good against Scotland, but it is definitely a concern. Opara and Kitchen have not been tearing it up in MLS, those were supposed to be our two young studs. Maybe Gonzalez returns from his injury. I think you are seeing how important he is to Galaxy.

It sure would be nice to have Subotic in the fold right now.

Opara is not playing well and would be a huge step down from Boca and Gooch who are horrible together. Throw Jones into the mix and you have the recipe for disaster at the back. And gracious Howard...make a save. Your counterpart made them the entire 2nd half.

I said it already, but our offense looked very good in the 2nd half. Our defense was pathetic and may struggle against Guatemala's 2 counters.

Our backline will be fine. Gooch is probably nothing more than a fringe player after all of his injuries. Boca, I thought, played ok yesterday minus some issues with playing the ball out of the back in Klinsi's system. Boca/Goodson/Parkhurst/Gonzales/Gooch will be fine through qualifying. Hopefully, Sean Cunninghamm's conversion to a CB in Norway will go well and he can become an important piece at WC14.

I was actually pleased with the way we played against Brazil. The scoreline wasn't indicative of how many chances we created against a quality side.

Agreed. Our CBs looked overwhelmed at times, but very few teams have Brazil's speed. Even Cherundolo, our best defender over the last 4 years, was worn out by 65 minutes.
