Quote:The collie, Lillie, and the couple’s other dog, Grace, went to greet the unexpected visitor. Mark Boling says he called out to the police officer to let him know the dogs don’t bite and caught up with Grace before she even got to the officer. Boling says it only took a few seconds for the officer to pull his gun and shoot Lillie, and also says the gun remained pointed at him after the dog had been shot and had run to the backyard to die.

I love his version of events. Problem is whatever a cop puts in a report is gonna be what happened unless you have multiple witnesses or video. They can lie their asses off as I'm guessing this guy is doing. I have been around border collies and I've never encountered one that was vicious. Might nip at you trying to herd you up, but that about it.

The guy should consider himself lucky he wasn't near the door holding a hairbrush or cordless phone, or else it might have been him and not the dog.

Quote:The officer jumped on top of the pillar and continued pleading the male to call the dogs back.

So the officer was pleading. When was the last time anyone here saw a big, macho cop pleading?

I would shoot back. I love my dog more than any cop.
