0-3 vs. South Carolina all-time
I noticed that our future schedules include a deal with them. We played them close the last two meetings: 1997 and 2005. 1997, we lost 31-33. 2005, we lost 15-24. Both were away.
How do you guys think we do against them in a couple years?

Tough to say there are so many variables between now and then. For instance, is oleary still our coach? Spurrier has built a competitive force out Carolina, so I think we have to know where we will be at in order to compete.

I agree, its tough to say. The competition is so tough in the SEC, its hard to gauge how relatively good the programs are. They are the most dominant conference in football, but then we push around UGA in the Liberty bowl with an injured frosh qb.
The coaching issue is another mysterious variable. Will we still have O'Leary as our coach? If so, the wild inconsistency that has characterized his tenure could take a game from them or lead to two beatdowns like when we played UF. Will we have a new coach? If so, that coach might have trouble reshaping the program in time to play up to a Spurrier program that has been slowly built up over a number of years.
Right now, I would say we could split a series with them if our program is in a good place (and the eternal optimist in me thinks we will).
