Come out and Support the Norfolk Admirals in the Calder Cup Finals!
The Norfolk Admirals have made the AHL Calder Cup Finals for the first time in our franchises history.

As the number 1 overall seed, they have the home-ice advantage in the Finals and the first game will be this Friday night against the Toronto Marlies.

This team has had an absolutely incredible season thus far and deserves those of us who live in Hampton Roads full support.

Come out and support this team in the Finals this weekend (friday and saturday nights!)

If we win the cup we should be able to switch with the Lightning and move up to the NHL and they can be our farm team.

So my first post on the C-USA board will be about that Ads. Odd. Anyway you really need to get out to Scope to watch these guys. They have been fantastic from the insane streak to close out the regular season through this point of the Calder Cup playoffs. Scope has been down right electric the last three home games.

True that.

Ads games are great fun. Anyone who has not had a chance to see this team, get out there! They can use the local support, and it's great to see a team from Norfolk find so much success. Give hockey a chance!

Back in the days of the ECHL I was there almost every night...was in attendance when they won a title with John Brophy.

I also homered off Rod Taylor in a softball game a few years back.

Seriously intense game tonight. There was division foe level hate on the ice tonight. Very strange for Game One of Finals series. The Ads are the better team in this series. I saw signs tonight of the Ads figuring out the Toronto defense which is bad news for the Marlies goalies. Game Two is tomorrow night at 7:15. A big crowd is expected and a sellout is possible. If you are thinking about coming out don't sleep on getting tickets.

It easily could have been 7 or 8 to 1 tonight. The Admirals 3-1 scoreline doesn't even show the full domination that was witnessed by the near sellout crowd.

I absolutely LOVE that our guys came out scrapping, trying to mix it up after every single whistle. We out-toughed them and outscored them and pretty much dominated from start to finish despite all the penalties we took for "afters".

Loved the intensity and toughness shown by the Admirals. The Marlies were shell-shocked that a team that skilled and that fast was also that tough. Amazing performance all around.

If you're interested in watching:

http://www.firstrowsports.eu/watch/12535...rlies.html

There's like... 4 minutes left. Admirals up 3-1

Edit: Nope, make that 4-1, seconds after I posted! Total domination.

That was a fun game. Now I know I want them to win, but would I rather them win in Toronto, or lose 2 and come back to Norfolk up 3-2 and win it at home....?

I'd probably rather them just go ahead and sweep it, but I'd love to be there...

I really want there to be a game 6...

Missed games 1 and 2 (watched 1 online)....

Just getting too expensive to go to so many games....I've been to like 15 of them this season. Starting to wear out my wallet.

I was betting on them going to 6, but after seeing those first two, not sure it will get that far. Would love to see them raise the cup here in Norfolk. Would be good for the city and sports in Hampton Roads in general

Yeah I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on playoff tickets for my girl and I over the last month or so.

Once you add in beers and everything for the both of us, we are probably talking between 500 dollar and 700 dollars, something in that neighborhood.

I'll be elated if they win it up there in Toronto! There will be a victory party no matter what (provided they close this thing out) so I'm fine with them winning the series on the road (hopefully!). If not that is 50 more for another pair of tickets and probably 30-40 more in beers for the two of us.

Gotta say though, it's ALL been worth it to watch this incredible team thus far. Freaking love these guys, they are quite honestly the DEFINITION of the word TEAM.

WGNT has picked up the games from Toronto locally. Game 3 is Thursday night at 7:00 p.m., Game 4 is Saturday at 3:00 p.m., Game 5 is Sunday at 3:00 p.m. if necessary.

How awesome is that! I read that on Admiralszone.net this morning.

Fantastic!

Channel 27. Over the air I think it is 7, Cox is 7 and 1007 in HD. I have my doubts about the games being in HD but it will probably be the feed that Leafs TV and SportsNet are producing in Canada so who knows.

Just got an email from the AHL. CBS Sports Network will be picking up the games in Toronto as well.
