Might as well take the Holes out of their misery of continuing the ACC CWS Title drought of 56 years.

And we're in as a two seed and everybody else is furiously butthurt about it. I think that's hilarious.

Not everybody, but still a decent number of folks. I like it. Hopefully it motivates our team to make a run.

If you're talking about this, yeah I said it, but I hope you got what I as saying. If UAB doesn't win the tournament, they don't get in. It's just a figure of speech.

Quote:Nothing against UAB, but they "stole" a spot right at the end of the season.

But I also said this:

Quote:Obviously UAB gets in by default and Rice and UCF. Who else gets into a regional? Interested to see the votes. Selections at noon tomorrow, so voting is just for a day. Congrats to UAB on winning the tournament.

04-cheers

We didn't steal another c-usa teams spot, we earned the spot in one of the two prescribed manners, high rpi or win the conf. tournament.
we were 2-2 v. both tulane and ucf, and won a game @ rice. frankly, I don't give a 01-scout if the $ec or acc or any other big6 conference
didn't get a 17th team in the playoffs. c-usa was destined to be a 3 bid league this season without someone other than rice, ecu or ucf
winning the tournament. why should that team not have been UAB?

Yup, I'll agree with that. There is always a chance that when a lower seed (heck UAB was only 1 spot behind us by the way) wins the conference tournament it will bump another team out. This year it worked perfectly though. UAB winning took us from a 3 bid league to a 4 bid league which is all positive.

Like I said we only finished 1 spot ahead of UAB in the conference standings (albeit by 4 1/2 games). Yes we swept them in the regular season but I was at all 3 games and they gave us all we wanted. They lead 6-2 through 5 innings in game 1 and held the lead through 6 innings. Game 2 we whooped them pretty good. Game 3 they lead from the 1st inning through the 8th. We scored 3 runs in the 9th to tie it and then won in the 13th inning. In our tournament game with UAB it was tied through 7 innings despite not facing their best.

UAB is far from a free win in the regionals IMO and has gotten hot at the right time.
