Went to the one in JAX last night, it was outstanding. Everyone should try to make a national team match.

The rug is part of it but it is really hard for the European based players to fly all the way to Seattle during the FIFA dates during the season. When they do play on the west coast, they tend to play central/south american teams in LA to maximize attendance.

They put grass on the rug in order to get big teams to come over. So the surface has been good enough for Manchester United, Barca, Chelsea, Celtic, etc.

I think its mostly the distance thing.

This.

There is very little time. They practice and play while they are still dealing with jet lag. The other teams are normally in the same situation so there is no advantage to anyone.
