Tulsa fan saying hello to ODU fans...
And welcome to C-USA. Seeing your rivalry with JMU reminds me of the rivalry's Tulsa had before we left the MVC, mainly Bradly and Creighton. People in the MVC really loved hating Tulsa even before we left. We had enough conference championships guess that had a lot to do with it. Welcome to the conference, looking forward to some games with you.

RE: Tulsa fan saying hello to ODU fans...
Thank you for the warm welcome! Tulsa is one of the teams I'm excited to play in basketball. When I was a young teen Danny Manning was one of my favorite players, and I followed him as best I could in the NBA, so I have always wanted to see him have success. When he got the Tulsa job I never thought ODU would be a conference foe.

FYI, we still remember Tulsa and Tubby Smith knocking us out of the NCAA tournament in 1995. The round before we beat Villanova in triple OT in one of the greatest games ever but we know who took us off that high! I am looking forward to meeting regularly on the court.

Yeah about that time we were having a lot of success in the NCAA tourny. All the Coaches Nolan Richardson, Tubby Smith, and Bill Self took us to the Tourny. Now hopfully we can add Danny Manning to that great list. 02-13-banana02-13-banana

Hey Tulsa, thanks for the welcome and look forward to playing you.

A lot of our former CAA brethern were trying to catcall our move by saying, "Have fun in Tulsa!" I think we will.

Some of us older Monarch fans will never forget the absolute high from the triple OT win and the downer from Tulsa! Yeah, you are darn right we are looking for some long overdue payback, again, and again, and again. Thanks for the reminder Tulsa fan! We are looking forward to meeting and of course beating your team!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm glad to be in the same conference as Tulsa. I've got a lot of family out in NW Oklahoma so they'll finally be able to actually attend one or two ODU games.
