Arkansas State will be among the best at QB, RB, WR and LB. QB and WR play should be the best in the league barring the unforeseen.
I wouldn't trade any of the Cajuns receivers for any of ASU's.
That is downright dumb. Stockemer is a stud starter on any Sun Belt team.
So are Lawson, Surgent, Peoples and Butler.
Arkansas State's offense is equal to or better than what UL has to offer, which is still good, but let's not act like ULs offense is heads and tails better, its not.
Where did VO say this?

Z, you cannot fault them for that. They fly under the radar like stealth bombers with empty bomb bays.
Their coach prefers polite players who are good citizens to football studs who have just as much character and manners. Good excuse when your recruiting class is weak.
They do have a great water ski team, just ask them.

Apparently we have a pretty decent baseball team as well. Say it's emotion if you want, and spew your ignorance of our recruiting classes if you desire, the bottom line is you are not as great as you think you are...you succeeded with a weak schedule and some luck breaks. Congratulations!

Winners have the breaks go their way at times. That is a given. Sour grapes is not becoming of you. Congrats on baseball.

Let me get this straight. You think the Cajuns have 4 WRs that would start ahead of Stockermer for stAte.
Is that correct?
No, I said I wouldn't trade them for him. Not the same thing. You telling me your whole receiver corps is better than Lawson?
No. But then again, I didn't make the inane contention that Lawson, Surgent, Peoples and Butler are all stud starters on any Sun Belt team.
You did.

y'all worry about getting that elusive 6th win this year... UL will worry about which bowl we are going to. Have a good one, buddy.

Name one of those 4 who would not start for ASU. Obviously, if they are all there, they can't all start; but which one of them, if he showed up in Jonesboro tomorrow, would not be a starter?

I wouldn't trade any of the Cajuns receivers for any of ASU's. Not one of the top 6 or 8. I like your QB, but I wouldn't trade either Gauthier or Broadway for him if I could.
Yes, but would you trade your recievers for our defensive backs, since your QB's like throwing to them anyway???

Yeah, I dunno, but Houston has been a beast for us. Hits the hole hard, tough to bring down, gets a lot of yards after first contact. He's the "bruiser" back, and Baker (the UGA 4* transfer) is the speed. Getting Brandon Ross back this year too, who was a Memphis transfer, and is another powerful back. One problem is though that we will have a very green line this year. Some experience mixed in there, but that'll be something we pay close attention to.
Changing to a spread offense this year, so frankly, we have no clue how effective our passing game will be. Wasn't that great last year though.
Deep at LB with a lot of talent and a good amount of experience. VaTech transfer Jake Johnson anchors the LB, and will be a legitimate draft prospect.
Secondary is headed up by former 5* Alabama transfer BJ Scott. Brought in some good JUCOs this year too. I'd say of the three units rated high, our secondary is easily the most open to question. Havent faced offenses on a consistent basis like they will this year, and who knows if the JUCOs will live up to the hype. All I know is I'm ready for football.
i know frankie jackson is gonna light up some defenses this next year. also, if dyer sits and plays the next year. with the two of them i see a McFadden/Jones combo that as long as butterfield is on par with what we have seen from him so far will make for some record setting offenses.
A McFadden/Jones combo? You want our running backs to become injury prone washed up running backs?

Yep, the mainstream media is really picking up on this USA is Awesome story.
Locally here in Atlanta, Buck and Kincaid of 680 the Fan just dedicated their shows for the rest of 2012 to the South Alabama Jaguars.

Indeed, USA is awesome. Yesterday on the ESPN Sports Center Top 10 they simply showed Ladd-Peebles Stadium for a few minutes with "South Alabama" in each endzone with "'Nuff Said" scrolling underneath. It was number 2 or 3 if I recall correctly...

were they like that in college? no... i meant a heisman candidate and a NFL draft quality backup. that was just the only combo i could think of off the top of my head.
