Reputation Records
Since I'm new around here, I'm wondering if there are any outstanding scenarios of a person with a TON of negative rep points (or a ton of positive).

Who's got the most? Who's got the least?

And if you have any horror stories to share, please do!

RE: Reputation Records
rep points are pretty useless you are waaaaaaay into the negative... some posters get all butt hurt and start neg repping everything with a post, but time and patience usually corrects for that.

Degenerate trolls love to neg rep simply for disagreements. And they do it incessantly. They also positive rep themselves using sister accounts.

I've seen a -7 before. And I know gts has 441 in the positive. I just didn't know if there was someone that was infamous for having a TON of negative rep points.

Or who the all-time leader was..

It's hard to think of a bigger loser than someone who does this. Some many sad people in the world.

Rowdy had -33 in 1 day or something absurd.

UTEP posters seem to like neg repping half a dozen times each for no apparent reason, don't piss them off if you care about rep.
Nothing else to do in El Paso other than hiding from cartels I suppose. 03-shhhh

Not picking on the poster because we were all new here at one time, but does anyone else think that's a curiously unusual question?

RobertN ... -120 at one point.

The Memphis people had out rep to each other like dead people vote in Chicago. So you'll see some of them like +1500 or so. You can't reliably judge from rep any Memphis poster with a high post count.

WOW. -120! I feel like it's hard to get that many negative reps and somehow not be banned. Impressive! And 1,500 is a lot of rep points. Too much. Might need to pick up another hobby if you're looking at that many..

He got most of them on the Spin Room, where his reply to every other post is something like...

"Why do you hate Black people?"
"Why do you hate women?"
"Sure, let's do that ... then you can re-implement slavery too, right?"
"Does that come with a KKK robe?"

In short, he conflates being for freedom and against government as being a racist and sexist KKK leader who worships Jerry Falwell.

It's pretty obvious when folks manipulate rep points. You'll see multiple positive or negative points given by the poster in one day or a series of days.

There are some big numbers over there, some are more legitimate than others. Some positive/negative large swings occurred as I described above. While the rep point process is a good idea, abuse causes me to question if it should be abandonded.

GTS does a great job of providing a good community here.

This rep stuff is so lame. Meangreener (UNT) basically spammed me and everyone else from UTSA with negative reps because he's insecure about his school lol

Also, what does FIFY mean?

I did my due diligence and read the 1,744 pages of carrot talk, but don't know what FIFY means. The first google result doesn't seem match up with where I've seen it posted on these boards: "Fify stands for ' Fit in (a) few years' When used in a sentence : "That girl is a Fify". Applies to all girls under the age of 16."

"fixed it for you"

It's a sarcastic message board response where you alter someone's post in a quote to say something other than what they said...normally into something that makes them/their post look bad or funny.

That's something that's annoying to me. Altering someone's post, even with the "fify" notation is pretty disrespectful IMHO.
