Did someone say that the construction was to begin after this season?

We are a long ways from getting to the stadium that is in the video.

As soon as we have the $5mill raised to break ground on the Endzone building we will start... anybody on this board want to toss some $$ our way? All team's fans are welcome! I will be sure to buy you a case or 2 of beer when you come to Troy for a game! 04-cheers

Enclosing the stadium is still a ways off. But hopefully we can get some big time donors over the next few years and we can get it done sooner than later.

I'm sure what your admin has been looking at is are the expansions really needed immediately? Do you expect a general trend of sellouts upcoming in the next few years? If not then you probably will need to get some hardcore Troy fans to donate. It's definitely a great plan, but if I'm a donor going to spend $1 million giving to Troy for your stadium expansion I want to know that what I donate doesn't get stuck in the back recesses of "future development" instead of "upcoming projects". Your project is looking nice; hope it works out. Our new club level project is coming along nicely at Floyd Stadium (first time I saw it, I thought it was weird seeing a nice new addition on our famously bland stadium's interior). I will be anxious to see the completed products for both MT and Troy, MT's coming next year and Troy's sometime in the future.

The only expansion that is on the table is the end zone building. It won't be increasing the capacity by that much. Mostly suites. The main thing is getting the building for the new offices and locker rooms.

The suites, even though not much along the lines of numbers, offers income that could help fund new construction. It helped us.

The new endzone building looks like it will have a lower tier of seating under the suites. I hope they don't move the SOTS over there. A lot of schools put their marching band behind the field goal.

Not being a band person why would this be a bad thing?

FAU's band and student section is the entire southern endzone seating. Really works out well as all the students are together and start going along with the band.

Exactly!!!! You make more money off selling 6 suites than you do filling 500 GA seats.

Because where we are is next to our student section and it's a perfect location for everyone to hear/see us.

Not true...we can't hear you in Section 107 (at least not very well). I'm sure Hemi can back me up on this.

RE: Troy Stadium Expansion
We had our band next to our student section and it was good for both, then they moved the band across the field because people complained that they could not hear them. Now the have wanted to put the band in the end zone, but band got out of it last year. Should be interesting to see where they wind up this year.

Would think, for future growth, they would want to consider putting any end zone suites completely across the end zone if possible. Looking good though.

RE: Troy Stadium Expansion
Im feeling more and more like the Troy stadium expansion will happen at the end of this coming season. LB is pretty adamant about this thing happening and VERY soon. LB said we cannot fall behind anyone in the Sunbelt conference. And this thing is picking up steam in the press in Alabama. And now that the Basketball arena is just about done they can now focus on Football.

Where us that on the visitors side? Because you can hear/see the SOTS from all over the stadium unless you're down past the student section on the visitors side. Even if they add seats to the new endzone complex there wouldn't be enough room for the entire Sound of the South. Being next to the student section is perfect. 04-cheers

In 107 also, we can't hear you. I liked it better when the band was in the south endzone like you were during the first season of the stadium re model in 2003.

If you're interested in helping Troy's efforts, you can calling the Athletics Department at (334) 670-3482.

Once I get my paycheck next Friday I plan to do my part.
