UTEP is a long established program. UTSA isn't. They're only in their 3rd season...

Watching game and it appears to me that either UTEP really sucks or UTSA under Coker has gotten its sh* together pretty fast in football considering its program's age.

I should clarify again what qualifies as laughable:

- FCS over FBS
- Unranked over ranked
- Non-BCS over BCS

Though not technically allowed under those criteria, games where the Vegas line was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY off (Maryland-WV for example) are alright.

Solid top and middle

Not gonna lie, that division does sounds dope... The ACC Atlantic will be a very good division as well:

FSU
Clemson
Louisville
BC
NCSU
Wake Forest
Syracuse

It's more top heavy w/ a drop off between Louisville and the rest of the pack. But will be a tough division regardless.

Should've been a blowout, you were clearly the better team. Thank goodness our defense and special teams came to play or else it would've been over after the first quarter.

BC just needs to get it's act together and that will help make it more solid. That and the ACC needs to win it's big OOC games on a more regular basis.

Surprised by this as well. UK had 675 yards of total offense while UC only managed 389 yards!

Hey, the other division isn't looking bad either. Northwestern is on the rise with a highly rated coach that doesn't wish to go anywhere else. He is living in Chicago, when you are a celebrity in that town it is a very nice place to live.

Illinois is actually showing some life. They are a sleeping giant as much as anyone.

Wisconsin is showing itself to not just be a flash in the pan. I like what I am seeing with this team and their new coach.

Minnesota.....they are playing better ball this year too. Putting quite a few points on the board.

Speaking of points.....Iowa put up 59 points on Western Michigan. Now, I know it is WMU but come on.....it's Iowa! That is damn near a miracle for our guys.

Nebraska is a little bit of a worry but they are Nebraska and they will always be able to reload. They recruit nationally.

Yes we ended up with Purdue but overall the Big Ten seems to be on the rise and if Maryland can continue to improve and Rutgers becomes the program that many of us believe they can be in the Big Ten then the Big Ten is definitely on the rise.

I do believe the Big 10 is on the uptick but until they do something about the early season scheduling that wreaks nobody is going to know for sure whether they are truly stronger or not. Four weeks into the schedule and there have only been a handful of significant games. I know all of the conferences do this to a certain extent but it's time for this way of thinking to come to an end for all of them. Here it is almost October and we are only now going to get to the best of it in the Big 10.

Here it is almost October and we are only now going to get to the best of it in the Big 10.

It will happen. The SEC and ACC already had some cross conference rivalry games for ESPN to propagandize early on. The Big Ten meanwhile was still stuck in previously made contracts with lesser known programs. Just like how the Big Ten is coming around to playing national ball rather than regional ball, they too eventually will get the scheduling right. We are seeing programs doing this already for the future such as the scheduling multiple programs have done with Virginia Tech.

There will be more scheduled games like that in the future. It is difficult following the Big Ten because it requires supreme patience. They have the resources and the means to compete and they will do so, they just do not have the internal pressure experienced in the SEC to push quick changes.

Isn't the Big 14 not going to play FCS teams any more? That would help.
