One of those was plausible and maybe even predictabe while the other was improbable. Now you are going to scenarios that stretch the imagination. LOL. If we rejected and App and GaSo why even talk out North Florida or FGCU. They will not be on any radar for 15 years if ever.
Why would it take UNF or FGCU 15 years?
No teams
No facilities
No money
No conference to go to
Crappy economy (ask Kennesaw State about that one. 2016???)
Hell, that was the argument against Ga State three years ago. You can do better than that Panama, try again.
Not true. We came up with a plan 5 years ago that addressed all of those. Kennessaw Stae has punted 3 times now and I imagine FGCU and UNF are further down the totem pole in FL than Kennesaw is in GA. Has either of those schools publicly discussed a feasibility study?

Yes. FGCU conducted a feasability study last year and concluded that they wanted a program but the alumni base needed to grow to support an FBS program. Their looking at 5 years.
UNF hired a new AD two years with the intent to prepare the way for a football team.

These schools have current budgets in the $8M to $8.5M range and they do not have 30k students between the both of them put together. Their best bet is FCS and then only maybe. I may take them 5 to 7 years just to get in a position to start a team.

UNF has more students than South Alabama, Troy, UL and ULM. Plus UARL.
Texas State, UTA and Ga State are bigger than WKU, MT and FAU. UNF and FGCU will both be at 20,000 students within 3 years.
