How do you view the GT vs 'Bama series? Reading in old sports books, it seems like there used to be as much venom in this series from both sides as there is between my Dawgs and your Jackets currently. Would you be interested in a renewing of the series or not? If not, why not?

I'm too young to remember the last game between GT and Alabama, but I'd love to see more.

Moving to the ACC Conference Talk board to get more action.

The series is already scheduled to be renewed in the next several years.

I think there is still alot of latent hostility. It is Bear Bryant betraying Bobby Dodd that ultimately caused Georgia Tech to leave the SEC. Bobby Dodd was disgusted with the practice of offering student athletes scholarships, then yanking them if they didn't perform up to a coach's standard. So Bobby Dodd's ultimatum was to ban it in the SEC or Georgia Tech would leave. Bryant promised Dodd he would be there to vote for the ban. The ban fell just short because Bryant never showed up to the meeting to vote. The ban failed, Georgia Tech left, and Bryant and Dodd never spoke again.
