Godfrey is back...
...as a wide receiver.

He apparently started summer classes the other day.

RE: Godfrey is back...
If we use him right, he could become a real weapon for us as long as he can get his Dad and Uncle Luke out of his ear.

RE: Godfrey is back...
I hope Godfrey is worth the headache. Right now, I'm wary about the effect that Godfrey returning will have on Blake. I know the competition is often helpful, but I still think you need to protect the ego's of some of these young QBs.

How much do y'all think Godfrey will play? I think he will make a good receiver, but his skill set is not tremendously different from the guys we have. What we need is another tall Brandon Marshall receiver.

I agree. Feed him the ball on end-arounds, sweeps, short screens, punt and kick-off returns, whatever. Let his speed and allusiveness go to work. The problem UCF had with this approach last year with him as QB is they tried to rely on him 3 out of 4 plays. Defenses totally sniffed him out and stuffed him a lot. Now he should be used as a change-of-pace weapon when the Knights need a big play. Keep the D guessing when he's going to get the ball instead of knowing it on every play. Nice move by O'Leary letting him back on the team.

Godfrey is a hell of an athlete. Too undersized for a 1A college pocket qb but if he can be a big help as wr,option qb, and even special teams. With his speed and quickness he could be a great corner. I hope he can put the team above his ego.
