Kirk Bohls: Texas officials have heard nothing of FSU exit to Big 12
kbohls@kbohls
Texas, Texas Tech school officials dismiss rumors of FSU/Clemson possible exit to Big 12. "First I've heard of it," one high-up says.

And they are not lying; they delegated the responsibility, so they can deny it!

First he's heard of it? You mean all the AD's don't read the message boards? They ought to... our ideas are all golden.

The "first I've heard of it" is overselling the denial IMO.

It will always be Art Bell's show to me!
BTW Jim, do you think the Cards are still a lock to get in? I thought they were 99% in if the Big 12 went to 14, now with the stuff coming out of Texas I'm starting to have doubts about UL's invite...at least for a couple more years.

It all depends on how the question was asked.....
Texas, Texas Tech school officials dismiss rumors of FSU/Clemson possible exit to Big 12. "First I've heard of it," one high-up says.
but if it was
FSU/Louisville possible exit to Big 12....well the answer might be alittle different from the high ups.

I think Clemson is a lot more likely to jump first rather than FSU. I really think Clemson HATES the ACC and their fear of USC-E leaving them in the dust makes them much more likely for a move.
I would take a Clemson/UL combo in a heartbeat. Once that first domino in the ACC falls then all hell will break loose.

Take it from someone here in Austin, Kirk is worse than Chip. Kirk has access to Mack Brown and that is about it.

I believe UofL and Jurich know when everything will be official. That's based on Jurich telling The Big East that Louisville is getting out. At first I questioned when it was said. Now after seeing ESPN, AOL and everything in between report it; If it had not been true, Tom would have released a rebuttal through Kenny Klein, Louisville's SID.

Yeah, that sounds right. Clemson University, a charter member of the ACC since 1953, is absolutely going to throw 60 years of rivalries with Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland etc out the window to join a conference that lost 4 of its 6 most prestigious Universities in the last 18 months.

I finally fingured it out. It's not FSU talking to the Big 12, it is USF.
Just got the letters backwards.

With all due respect curtis, but posts like this one is why us mods decided to move these threads onto the Big XII board.
