Yup This sums it up. W Virginia paid about 21 million to get out early. Pitt and Syracuse are not attempting to get out as early as W Virginia and they will not be leaving the conference short of teams like W Virginia did. Essentially, Pitt and Syracuse were much more respectul than W Virginia and stuck around long enough for the conference to get replacements in. Expect any negotiated stettlement to reflect this fact. The base exit fee is 5 million. W Virginia paid 21 million. My guess is it never goes to court and they settle for something like 10 million--maybe even less.
