I post this on this board because this would not be popular reading material on the main board.

"U of L deserves better than what is happening with the Big East."

"The inescapable question is how his departure will affect U of L, which has played an active role in helping to stabilize the conference. Marinnato no doubt played a role in getting UofL in the Big East and had to be appreciative of Tom Jurich’s commitment. Louisville may have even passed up an early opportunity to join the Big 12 to help preserve the conference while planning a later exit."

"The best possible situation would be that the rumors are true, that UofL, along with Brigham Young, is about to receive an invitation to join the Big 12 Conference. And possibly Notre Dame will join the Big 12 for all other sports than football."

Marinatto resignation may signal new direction for Big East, Notre Dame and Louisville

I like this tweet from Stockton Shorts, a blogger on CouchFireSports.com...
Stockton Shorts Wrote:It might only be official today, but in reality John Marinatto stopped working for the Big East years ago.
