We had 4-5 mods before and did just fine, now we have 10. That's slightly overkill not to mention one has less then 300 posts, no offense to UTSAMarineVet09.

Not to mention the person dumb enough to have a swimmer piss in his bed and steal his money somehow get's elected to run this forum.

Do you guys realize that these new mods have effectively turned the entire MT.org user base against us? The only fan base that was actually pretty civil and respectful and voted to stay apart of CUSAbbs until the move is now regretting that decision because of the new mods.

Oh and notice how the two users with the two lowest vote totals lmckay and UTSAMarineVet09 are mods over a good user who's been here a while like MinerInWisconsin 03-banghead

/rant

For public information here's who I voted for: TheEastIsPurple, MinerInWisconsin, ShiftyEagle, and 49erfootballnow

What did the new mods do exactly?

From what I've heard, the Memphis posters are just bitching and crying because there was non-Memphis names above their forum for like a day.
The new mods weren't even allowed to do anything on the Memphis board anyways unless specifically asked to by other Memphis mods.

MinerInWisconsin turned down the modship, he wasn't not given the opportunity because of someone else.
I voted for and nominated MIW, but he didn't want it.

You nailed it on all points IMO.

I still feel I'm the usual poster, and I don't care what the Carrots or MT.org think, it's all about CUSA here.

GTS and other folks have been very clear in our roles, and the number of posts won't keep UTSAMarine from being effective. He and I have talked and he has calmed some folks down.

Let's enjoy and focus on the board, and not its mechanics. Leave that to other boards.

Thank you RUNVSFD MINER, I dont make my way over to MT.org, I stay here in the general board and the UTSA board. I dont like to step in somebody else's backyard without being invited to. I will ask politely if you dont call me out again.

You are never going to make the mt.org group happy, so don't even bother trying. They overreact to everything.

Now in my opinion, we don't have too many right now. Let's face it, most of them won't be on at the same time, so we have some decent coverage which we did not always have.

That's all well and fine but when the only thread I care about is out right deleted by a Memphis fan because the new mods have out right said that they don't care about MT.org there needs to be some calling out

Again no offense to any of the new mods, I'm sure y'all will do fine. I'm just in a bad mood because of the Soccer Thread DeleteGate (much worst then a MergeGate fyi)

Blame ATX for overreacting and deleting the thread. No one else to look at for that.

It's not like post count has any direct reflection to how good of a poster/person you are.

Vet has a history on UTSA and WAC forums of being a great and respected member on every forum I've seen him on.
Registering to a new forum doesn't somehow negate your e-history and your built up trust and respect.

If you want a perfect example of having a big post count, yet still being a crap poster, just look at the person who deleted the soccer thread. That's who you should be calling out.

I suspect the number of Mods added was as a result of the number of new registered users on this board (which shot through the roof with the recent announcements).

Oh and now I get a warning because apparently this is asking about moderation in public forum. Where did i ask about a moderation action in this thread? A JOKE!

Questioning why admin chose to allow newbees to become mods is questioning moderation actions in public...

It wasn't the new mods fault for turning MT.Org against this particular board. I'm pretty sure none of them asked to become mods there.

btw I moved this to smack since there isn't an OT board here.

To be perfectly honest, it is time for the MT.org board to be moved to the BE board. If Memphis posters want to continue posting here then good for them. But why did all the other boards move as soon as it was announced they have joined another conference?

Otherwise, we could have 20 mods for all I care. What's the big deal anyway?

All of the mods are quality posters and every school is represented. I don't understand the issue. Lots of new posters here. It's a good thing, imo. Nothing negative will come of it.

Every fan base has some jerks. Most Memphis posters wanted to stay on this board because we are part of CUSA, will be for the next year and like and respect our conference schools. Most schools in CUSA would have jumped at the opportunity to make the change in conferences and many actively and publicly campaigned for inclusion. Wish college sports wasn't like that, but it is what it is.

Yes there are many Memphis posters questioning their vote to stay on the CUSA board and there are many in questioning the wisdom of moving MT.org to NCAAbbs.
