I agree with this. The bottom two uni's look cool, but I really don't like that mustard-yellow-gold color UCF currently wears...

We just need to ditch the white helmets. They don't go with black/gold primary colors. All black helmets with the UCF lettering and stripe down the middle in gold could work?

And now I wish I read the whole thread before posting. Those helmets are obviously inspired by Boise St, but damn that all black helmet looks good. I don't mind the off-color shoulder pads either.

I really like those helmets.

They look more like armor than the white ones. Silver/chrome would be really cool, but Rutgers is doing that now.

Can go with black helmets occasionally; sort of a "Black Knight" look.

I think they can do better than that. They only look cool right now, but I think we need to keep the helmet we have or make it black and do something different with the uniforms. This rendering is ok, but Im sure the folks at Nike are more creative and can work with the whole knights theme. i saw on the ESPN board that they thought about making chainmail styled jerseys.

The Knightro eyes worked in is a nice touch

That's interesting, but given the fact that UCF's school colors have been Black and Gold since the mid-1960's when the school was founded I don't see how that applies here.

I've paid no attention to this thread since it began so apologize for the tardy response. My point, albeit vaguely made, was that I don't get the sudden interest in the use of grey by schools which have never had it as part of their traditional colors. Grey isn't a UCF color, is it?

I agree. Substitute the helmets others have advocated and that should be all that's necessary for a clean, classy and traditional look.
