It was our home until Texas-San Antonio was invited. Rumors in El Paso are that we are headed to the Mountain West. I personally would have liked to have stayed in C-USA, but without the Fighting Nacho Supremes.
So Art...... Utsa doesnt make it MOVE????

Did you just brag about hosting an NCAA tourney?
You don't think conferences care that the school/city has been incredibly successful in hosting major college events?
Maybe, but San Antonio wasnt successful in hosting them because of UTSA. They were successful because they have a big ass dome and a **** ton of hotel rooms. You could have Trinity as the sponsor and it would've been just as successful.
Trinity doesn't have standing agreements with the Alamodome, UTSA does.
That's like saying the University of Memphis has successful hosted the NBA since we have standing agreements with the FedExForum.

So it makes San Antonio attractive to conferences. We're the most successful university in San Antonio, so that makes us more attractive to conferences. Trinity is not as appealing because they aren't the top university in the city. Same goes for HBU, which was the whole point I was trying to make.

10-4. I agree with that. Just not that CUSA really cares about the Alamodome hosting the NCAA tourney just as they didnt really care about Memphis, or New Orleans, or Tulsa, or Orlando hosting it.

If I were UTEP I'd leave. UT-SA is a kick in the nads.

You could ask any of these 3 conferences C-USA, MWC, WAC, who they would rather have: UTEP or UTSA? UTEP would win hands down. A lot of that has to do with our athletic history and support, but I guess to you that's irrelevant.
Thanks for avoiding the rest of what I said though.
Old people and their horrible reading comprehension.. /sarc
I wouldn't disagree, but I was more talking about other additions/potential additions.
Not familiar with Yugo(s), can't say for certain I've heard of them.
I'm not familiar enough with UTEP's position pre-UTSA rumors, so I didn't feel comfortable responding.
Didn't think you'd take offense to me effectively saying 'I don't disagree with the rest of your post'.
Couldn't get into UT so you went to Texas-San Antonio, right? Just like over half of your student body.

This is funny coming from UTEP...who accepts 99% of applicants. And almost all of them are from El Paso. At least we get students from all over the state. No one wants to go to El Paso for college.
Dude, be quiet, UTSA is a commuter school that is only good to use as a stepping stone to UT. The 56% retention rate is really proof enough. Now the UT wannabes can't be T-shirt fans anymore, so they are trying to make UTSA UT in football. Wow, congratulations. UTSA is still a joke. What is the point? A community college is the same and much cheaper. Your dollars are better spent there.

UNT...lmao
I used to live in Dallas and no one in DFW cares about UNT. That is a fact! As a matter of fact, I have a good buddy that graduated from UNT and he will be the first one to tell anyone that UNT has a ton of commuters so it's best if you keep quiet about that issue. Both of our schools have commuters.
I bet you feel pretty sh*tty that our school has more fans show up for games than yours huh? LOL Yeah yeah, we gave away KFC tickets. We've heard it all before....but point is, that deal would never work at UNT because people in Dallas/DFW simply do not care about yall. They gave away free UNT tickets at my job(in Dallas) all the time, but no one wanted them. They were still trying to give them away the Friday before the game. Hell, they were FREE too...we didn't even have to buy a bucket of chicken...and no one wanted them! LMAO
