Time to change things up. Martinez needs to be in the lineup. Put him in right field. Move Edmond to 3rd. Who do we put in Center field for Fowler? We in a pickle.

I have been surprised that they have done so well this year with their anemic hitting.

Well, that ended with a thud but Cards gave us a great ride this season. Lot's of offseason work to do. I'm concerned the contracts of Dexter Fowler (2 more years, 30 mill due) and Matt Carpenter (3 more years, close to 60 mill due) will be way to much to move while they potentially drag down the team in 2020. They may just let Marcell Ozuna walk. That'll be ok. Curious to see what shows up in camp next February. One last thing, I hope the Nats beat the Yankees/Astros in the World Series.

As much as I wanted my Braves or the Cards in the WS, it's kinda sweet to see the Nats in after Harper left.

Top priorities for the off season. Get a lead off hitter. Shed Fowler and Carpenter. Get a closer. Who do we have coming up in our system? I have no time to keep up with the farm system.

A little reflection time: the Cardinals have now been to 5 NLCS and 2 World Series this decade. The Cubs, in the same time frame and in probably their best stretch in modern history, have been to 2 NLCS and 1 World Series. Go Cards!

When your leadoff hitter is hitting .091 it spell trouble and sets a tone.

The Cardinals will be paying Fowler and Carpenter for a while, and Mo likes to see players he’s paying play. And I don’t see anyone taking those players off of his hands.

Maybe Baltimore.

Royals just hired Mike Matheny as their manager. Great job for him, zero pressure.

Congrats to Mike Shildt for NL Manager of the year. I know, I was disappointed the way this year ended too.

Also not disappointed that we did not enter the Cole / Strausburg Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. Not sure the Cards will add the quality pitching that they need, but so far the market has been way to high. Maybe it will even out, but I would rather rely on what we have within the system than way overpay for one extra arm on the pitching staff.

Nolan Arenado is talking about a disconnect with Rockies management again as spring training is about to start. Is there any chance Colorado trades him at the trade deadline?I think he's going to keep trying to force their hand until they finally decide to move him.He has an opt out after the 2021 season and it looks like he'll leave then if they don't trade him.

Dark days indeed. I've always looked forward to the resurrection of this thread every baseball season. I'm very disappointed in MLB's labor/management for their inability to bring baseball back. Dark days indeed.
