COD: Black Ops II...
To be released on November 13. Trailer to be shown tonight on TNT during NBA playoffs. It is being done by Treyarch. Takes place in the near future. Hope it is as good as Black Ops.

RE: COD: Black Ops II...
I borrowed MW3 months ago and haven't mustered the will power to get past the first level or play more than 5 online games.

CoD has been milked to the point of meh.

Just watched the trailer... looks awful. Really awful.

Every trailer for CoD has made interested in it, not at all with this one.

Agreed. Looks a little to futuristic for me but I hope they have the zombies instead of the crappy "Special Ops" stuff that MW3 has on the extra.

The community playlists of Infected, Drop Zone and FFA Gungame are fun on MW3.

It's a fun first person shooter. The campaign is pretty good if you like the Modern Warfare series but I played it through once and that was enough for me.

RE: COD: Black Ops II...
Read an article today that the game goes back and forth in flashbacks to the Cold War and then future Cold War events around 2025. Apparently, 'future' combat will be the basis for the multi-player portion of the game.

It's been a fun ride with the Call of Duty series, but this could be my last go round if that's where they are headed. Should have stayed on the foundation of what has made this such an epic series, but oh well.

MW3 is better than most games, but far short of what has been produced in the past. The Elite service just brought it down another level in my opinion. Everyone looked forward to DLC release dates, but this service just milks the excitement out of the game and the content releases.

All y'all knockin' this game KNOW you will buy it. Just like you have with every COD release since COD4. And you'll probably be at the Midnight release.

RE: COD: Black Ops II...
I'll be in line for it and will play it, but I am hoping they prove me wrong or it may be my last COD. They don't need to get too far off what the game is about and this 'looks' like they are getting off the track.

If I ranked the COD Series (strictly on multi-player and from the MW release on) it would be:

1. COD:MW (InfinityWard)
2. COD:World at War (TreyArch)
3. COD:MW2 (InfinityWard)
4. COD:BlackOps (TreyArch)
5. COD:MW3 (Sledgehammer)

RE: COD: Black Ops II...
I hear they are getting rid of that "second chance" perk BS.

BRB snipe a guy from long distance but he kills me with a handgun

I hope they get rid of the quickscoping. One thing I liked about BO was the noob tubes were not powerful like MW2. They are ruining the game in MW3 hardcore modes.

Another rumor is that knife melee kills will take two clicks.

I'm not sure I'll get this game in the fall the more I see the trailer. EA is making a sequel to Medal of Honor from 2 years ago called Medal of Honor: Warfighter. I might get that one instead.

I do like the zombie mode of BO so I'll probably get both. I want to be like the cool kids and not like the COD series.

The first Medal of Honor was HORRIBLE. EA and Dice knew it too. Way way too short of a campaign (which actually wasn't that bad) and terrible multiplayer. And I love the BF series. Looks like they are using the Frostbite2 engine, but Dice isn't a developer on it I think.
