Last time I checked the MWC was no AQ... and even if there will not be AQs anymore CUSA has the stronger football teams.

Take your Big Splash and shove it.

RE: If I were Tulsa I would follow UTEP to the MWC
Tulsa was always our "friendliest" rivalries. I think they would be better off switching conferences. The MWC TV deal sucks but it sounds like they are working to improve it. Plus CUSA is going to be a wasteland in a few years. They are going to be down to 7 teams, in order to keep the championship they are going to have to add FIVE programs. That means a lot of SBC and D1-AA. The smart move for Tulsa is MWC. I hope everything works out.

Then Tulsa would follow us right back to CUSA, cuz I don't see us going anywhere.

I just don't see CUSA giving up one of it's bigger programs.

CUSA doesn't really have a choice, they aren't "giving up" anything. UTEP is going to do what's in its best interest and CUSA will deal with that accordingly.

If that were true, UTEP would pay exit fees to leave for the MWC. Not happening.
The reality is that the MWC, as currently configured as a football RPI no better, if not worse, than the sun belt. They're the ones who need the merger.
UTEP may want to go there, but it's not because of some superiority thing. Of course you know that. You're just here to be a jerk.

Nothing has been anounced. Nothing more than speculation. Unless someone is just stirring stuff up.

Notice how everyone is talking about a merger between these conferences, even Coach Price said the word merger in his interview. So the way I see it, UTEP and Tulsa will still be in the same conference just different divisions.

If Air Force joins BE, Tulsa might take MWC invite, look at thier optoins
No Tex-Arkst, a wash but Tulsa would prefer Tex school
New Mex-Rice, NM is 18,000 for BB, 25,000 for FB
ColoSt-Tulane, CSU is 5,000 for BB, 25,000 for FB
UTEP-SoMiss is a wash
Wym-UAB, BB a wash, FB in legion field with 5,000
that's 3 with 2 washs [both in Tex]

Not necessarily. I can't say I'd blame any of the Western schools for getting out of this BS if they have a chance.
