A&M leaving Big 12 with a whimper?
Enjoy... 04-cheers

Aggies are leaving Big 12 not with a bang, but with a thud
statesman.com Wrote:Maybe they should change the name from the Lone Star Showdown to the No Star Showdown, though that's not really fair to the J'Covan Browns and Jordan Spieths of the burnt-orange world.

Besides, changing the slogan in midstream could be a bit dicier to market. How's this: "We're not very good, but we're better than they are."

That may not play all that well, especially at a time when Texas has its local cable carrier on speed dial and no one's answering.

To recap for those who haven't kept up with this heated competition that's just slightly less contentious than Deion Sanders' divorce, Texas has dominated the Lone Star Showdown — the highly publicized, inter-school, all-sports series between the Longhorns and their once-upon-a-time arch-rival Aggies.
