I have to admit....Houston deserved their invitation for their historical performance. It's taken a while to rebuild the program after SWC. UH really got screwed in the SWC implosion.

How about this one, how many times has your school finished ranked in the top 25 in both basketball (post NCAA tournament) and football (post bowls) in the same season....

South Carolina - 7 in AP, 8 in Coach's poll
Iowa State - 3 times - 1971, 1976, 2000


There's plenty of others in single digits, especially if you include the PAC-12. But these are the ones that stand out.
