RE: Outcome of this weeks BCS Meetings

You pair all Conference Champions in bowls for the week. In addition, The 4 highest ranked Conference Champions play in the "4 team event". If your conference champion is one of those four, then your #2 team replaces them in the bowl game in the week. Also, if ANY independent is ranked #4 or higher, they replace the lowest ranked conference champion for the "4 team event". I am assuming here Navy is in the Big East as well.
[And scattered throughout Dec. are other bowls with their own agreements and TV deals.]
Dec. 26th - National Semi-Final Games (two games) - Neutral site (Kicks the week off!)
Dec. 27th - GoDaddy.com bowl - MAC v SunBelt
Dec. 28th - MWC v C-USA - Holiday Bowl
Dec. 29th - WAC v Army or at-large - New Mexico Bowl
Dec. 30th - **BigEast/Notre Dame v ACC - Orange Bowl
Dec. 31st - SEC v Big 12 - Sugar Bowl
Jan. 1st - BigTen v Pac 12 - Rose Bowl
Jan. 2nd - National Title Game
**If Notre Dame is higher ranked than other BigEast teams, ND gets the bid. Or if ND is ranked #4 or higher, they are part of the 4-team event.
except as ESPN was saying yesterday- it's NOT looking like it's going to be a conference champions only playoff..

stever, wait until some big name school loses out to a "lesser" conference school. Then see how quickly they change their tune...
