Vote for Victors top performance of the year
http://www.niuhuskies.com/genrel/041912aad.html

Top Performance of the Year is solely determined by fan vote, which will come to a close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2.

Also...

DEKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois Athletics' third annual awards banquet "The Victors" is set for Thursday, May 3, at 7:15 p.m. CT in DeKalb's historic Egyptian Theatre. The red-carpet event is open to the public and fans can even choose the Top Performance of the Year as the Huskies celebrate their academic and athletic achievements over the past year.

Tickets are available for $20 through the Egyptian Theatre Box Office (815-758-1225), located at 135 North Second Street. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased the day of the event.

That's a tough choice. Great performances by all of the finalists.

WAY TO GO HUSKIES!

Watching the video, I'm reminded of how much of an asset Bill Baker is. I wonder if NIU uses his calls, and the potential of having a great play immortalized by one of his calls, as a recruiting tool. They should.

Never realized you can have a banquet at the Egyptian. Too bad, once again, that this is on a weekday. One of these days, Athletics will learn that NIU has fans in the Chicago area who are sort of precluded from attending these weeknight kumbayas. If it were on a weekend, I - and many others of us - would be there. Making it easy for your donors to attend these things further attaches them to the program and fosters larger donations.

Had to vote for TLL. It was between that and the 9.9 floor routine.

I voted for the floor routine over TLL because she is a Sr and I know that TLL will get enough votes anyways.

That soccer goal is very impressive, a backwards header like that with the goalie coming out.

May 3rd has no athletic events scheduled and not a single team will be traveling for an event on the 4th. The scheduling makes sense for athletics even though it doesn't work for most of us to attend.

It would be a nice Huskie All Access event though. (Yes I will put in the suggestion)

What athletic team/s do you want left out of the athletic banquet? There are multiple teams scheduled every weekend of the school year.

The first date where no athletic events are scheduled this spring is June 16th. Then school will be out for over a month and the athletes on their short break would have to come back to town for this. It just doesn't make sense. If you guys really want to attend then make a point of scheduling around it. Or if you are fine viewing it from home/work then also suggest to them that they put it on Huskie All Access.

I voted for TLL, I have just seen too many heartbreaking losses to Toledo over the years and seeing him with those back to back returns is something that I will never forget.

May 3rd is Reading Day Eve, there is no school on the 4th so students can study for finals, so it is the best day to do it while the students are all still here.
