Really?
For me, half the fun is the social experience.

James Spencer. And Lynch, if he's going to throw the ball.

I'm actually not too worried about Lynch, he's athletic enough and a beast of a runner so that he'll create enough matchup problems that if the coaching staff had to hide him in the gameplan and limit his throws I have confidence that the team (with the defense) could still be successful.
I don't want to jink anything, but if Lynch were to go down to injury and McIntosh had to start for a stretch, I want to see what shape the team would be in.

That's true. But we've had good running attacks for so many years without getting to the MACC (or winning it) because we didn't have an efficient passing attack, that I'd rather not go the next 2 years with a so-so passer. That's why I want to see more. The team seems to have a lot of confidence in him and they've seen him in practice a lot. I'd like to see more though in a game or at least a scrimmage.

I think Lynch will develop into a better than a so-so passer, so I don't think that NIU will have to worry about that, BUT if he didn't I'm saying that it wouldn't be the end of the world because he can make up for it in other areas.
My point is that if he gets injured or for whatever reason he has to be replaced in the starting lineup, I would like to see something that would give me some assurance that the season wouldn't be lost.
[insert 'superfan' voice]Of course, this will all mean nothing when the Huskies run the table and take a 13-0 record to the Fiesta Bowl, my friend.[/'superfan' voice]

RE: Spring Game answers.
I'm looking for answers at the RB position. I still think it was the weakness for our offense that Chandler more than made up for with his accurate passing and nimble running. If Lynch isn't Harnish, our RB will need to be dominant in order for us to continue to be a championship-calibre offense. I'm looking for Settle to have a big spring game and win the job by busting open big runs. I still think he's the big-play RB that can hit home runs for us, alleviating all the pressure that will be on Jordan when the season starts.
