Don't see it mathematically. Say Griz lose out and both the Suns and Rockets win out. Could see three way tie for final two spots. Griz lose the tie breaker to those two.

That picture still gives me chills. Dad and I were at the very top in the cheap seats for all those games.

Awesome pic, the amazing thing is that just a year later the 5 visible seated players have not played a minute this year (4 gone, Arthur injured). Can't wait for the playoffs.

Since none of that's going to happen, screw mathematics. We're in! 04-rock

Sam Young played in a few games early in the season before he was traded.

Clippers won @ denver. Still got 2 less losses plus the tiebreaker over the grizz. If the lakers lose tonight, suddenly the grizz are looking at matching up against the lakers in the first round. Right now, the lakers are only ahead of the clippers due to the tiebreaker.

That begs the question for Grizzly fans - who would we rather face as a 5 seed? The Clippers or the Lakers?

There are pros and cons to each.

RE: game thread: hornets @ GRINDHOUSE (04/18/12)
I think we beat both. The reason I see us beating the Lakers is that double ot loss to them. The fact we took them to two ots without Rudy or Z-Bo speaks volumes about the difference between these two teams and the one time we played them with both we destroyed them. Same pretty much goes for the clips when we had both Rudy and Zach we took them. My only problem with playing the lakers is that the officials won't give us a single call and that will hurt our chances

RE: game thread: hornets @ GRINDHOUSE (04/18/12)
I'd much rather play the clippers first. Just play off griffin and don't give him easy dunks. Lakers have way more playoff experience. 3 guys to throw at rudy. Gasol and bynum is a tough front line. And a future hall of fame player named kobe bryant. I'd rather see them 2nd round. Neither team has a coach, but the lakers can pretty much run themselves. Due to the calls and glamour of the laker franchise and star power and other reasons, they scare me a little bit.

Spurs are going to win as well as okc tonight, but spurs still remain a game plus the tiebreaker ahead of okc, so any okc meeting would be in the western finals. We can beat the spurs again.

As the 4/5 you won't see Lakers 2nd round, but agree with rather play the Clippers

Thats right. It can play out several ways, and i got it confused some. I'd rather not see the lakers at all, and i do believe okc will be in the western finals.

So i guess the order i want to see is clippers, spurs, probably okc.

That would be my preferred order as well, but if it is the Lakers I still believe we are the better team

We'd do away with the Lakers in the first round. Some can't accept, but most know they're done. Clippers are as hungry as we are.

With either LA team, it is a "pick your poison" encounter.

The Lakers have Kobe and playoff experience, but I think we can run with them.

I'm pretty scared of the Clippers, though, if not but for the fact that CP3 and the other one get more star calls than any other team...

...and if refs are going to call ticky-tack hand checks 30 feet from the basket we won't be able to play defense and get out in transition while our frontcourt gets fouls called on them for simply having the ball while the helpside defender runs into them.
