No one in Memphis cares about either ASU or MTSU. You look foolish claiming that we do.

um, not really

We would make more money from having a losing season and not going to a bowl than you would make from having a winnning season and going to a bowl.

Yeah, last in the Big East is better than first in the Sun Belt.

Its called football not moneyball.

I will have to agree with Hilltopper2K, that WKU doesn't really have a football rival yet. I think sUK could be if we can get a few wins under our belt. Or maybe Indiana if we can get them back on the schedule but it is too early for us to have a rival that isn't in our conference yet.

you have some deep seeded issues...guess your pissed the BE wants no part of ECU...they're like La Tech...they want in so bad...but the conferences just keep saying no.
Kinda funny coming from Memphis who has been so desperate to be in the Big East for many years and the only reason you finally made it is because BE football was decimated down to nothing. And it was probably more the basketball schools that voted you in. But in the future we will gladly come over to Memphis for $1 mil and beat you by 50 points

Decimated? Hardly. Improved is more like it. Pitt and Syracuse were awful in football and WV was decent. BSU and Houston more than make up for those losses.

I find it hilarious that ASU hangs their hat on that one game, which was part of the reason we fired our previous coach, consider we have owned you like a cheap suit for the series and especially for the last 14 games. We'll honor the contract and finish out the series, but don't be shocked if we drop you and schedule some teams that people might actually care about watching.

Wait.....

A Memphis fan saying Pitt and Syracuse are awful in football? West Virginia is only decent? Dude you are so full of bull it's hard to take anything you say seriously. Out of those three teams Syracuse would be the worst and they still won 2 more games the past 2 seasons than Memphis won in the past 4 seasons.

Yeah, Pitt and Syracuse were awful. The teams that are moving in to the Big East are better than the teams moving out.

TOGC, why don't you head on back over to the Big East board. Coming over here to insult our progams is pointless, we know you are here to cause trouble. I won't be giving you any breaks, so don't give me a reason to take action.

I don't have a problem with him. This is normal conversation for ASU-Memphis fans. It must be the rivalry stuff again.

We already have a nice rivalry in the other sports. Though its a little one-sided.

MSU fans have also been really nice not coming on here talking smack after the beating they gave us in basketball. That was ugly.

With you guys being down in basketball for so many years (which still puzzles me to death with your facilites, close to Memphis, Little Rock and Bootheel of Missouri talent) its been kind of a given win for our fan base, not to mention we really keep to ourselves as a fanbase due to the other idiot fan bases in the Valley.

For years our fans blamed it on Jonesboro itself. We're in a dry county, and simply for years didnt have the number of clubs a college town generally does. However, recently this has changed. We now have everything.

For the last 4 years we have been dealing with APR penalties. We literally couldnt risk any bad grade signings for fear of getting banned from postseason play. We should clear APR this year, and get a free scholarship back. That leaves it all in Brady's court to build a competetive team.

playing Louisville, Cincy, Boise State, Houston, SMU, UCF, etc. is far from "decimated down to nothing" and it's light years ahead of the Sun Belt...

as for your claim of basketball schools voting Memphis in...it was a unanimous vote...

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/201...n/?print=1

Quote:Eight days later, that transformation happened. In a unanimous vote of the league's presidents Tuesday, the University of Memphis was granted admission into the Big East beginning July 1, 2013.

as for beating us by 50 points...Porters gone, so no more cakewalks.

If he kept his mouth shut talking crap to teams that beat Memphis every year in football it wouldn't be so much fun. He's over here smack talking a fan base of a team that beat Memphis 47-3 at Memphis. That takes a brass set right there.

I just found it funny that ASU and MTSU consider us a rival. We don't consider them rivals. We never really considered the replacement CUSA teams rivals either. Our rivals were Louisville who we've played since the 1940s and Cincinnati who we've played since the 1960s. Now we're reunited as conference rivals again.

You've played Southern Miss, Ole Miss, and Arkansas State more than anyone else.

Louisville and Cincinnati were both in the same conference as Memphis. Ole Miss and ASU were not.

USM might be one we keep as an OOC game.

ASU will be a buy game. Nothing more.
dude you are an idiot if you think asu and Memphis is not a rivraly. We used to have a trophy for the winner of the game each year if I'm not mistaken. We have played each other more than any other teams and your thirty mins away.

just like it used to be a rivalry...i simply don't hate ASU or MTSU...i'm pretty ambivalent towards them.

Memphis has played USM and Mississippi more than ASU...that said, i don't dislike ASU...you guys just really seem to have a lot of built up aggression.
