03-lmfao just kidding I presume.

Au contrair, my fine feathered friend. Do you think they'd tell us they lasers were operational? The stealth planes were operating years before they were public....

Quote:He said the timing of the failure at about 60 seconds into the flight points to severe vibration at Max Q, the point where aerodynamic stresses on rocket traveling through the atmosphere are greatest. Unlike American rockets, the North Koreans lack the ability to throttle their liquid-fueled rockets up or down to diminished the stresses at Max Q.

Why?

Good question. This paper gives some good information (and the links provide even more detail).

This link provides the following info: Taep'o-Dong-2 (TD-2) Design Evolution, Shahab-5, A,B, C/6

http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/world/...-specs.htm Wrote:Step-throttle thrust levels Step-1 (kgf) Step-2 (kgf)

Although step-throttling was used by North Korea for the TD-1 attempted satellite launch that both stretched the range and the altitude in addition to achieving the required velocity it is not believed to have been designed into the TD-2 hardware.

Many Bothans died to bring us this picture of the Taep'o-Dong-2 fueling on the launchpad.

Not necessarily. It's tough stuff, w/ many more things that can go wrong rather than right. It really is rocket science.

This is what happens when something isn't built by highly trained and skilled union workers.
