Notre Dame takes on Navy at beautiful Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland at 9 AM Eastern (2 PM local time in Dublin).









Game will be carried by CBS National (since Navy owns the TV rights to that game).

shoot- we'll probably have closer to 17 or 18 hours of football that 1st Saturday. Probably will be a 10:30 game so won't end until 1:30-2pm at the earliest.

Turns out there was a city/village ordinance that the height of the stadium at that end couldn't exceed a certain height due to some high $$$ estates in the area...which is why the stadium "dips" on one end with a small section of seats vs the other.

Nice looking new Stadium. I was lucky enough to go to Croke Park in Dublin for a few soccer matches and the U2 360 Tour in 2009. It was also an awesome place as well.

I was just in Ireland last June. I plan to go again and I was tempted to go to this game.

But, I am going up to ND in October for the BYU game with 14 family members so I passed on the Dublin game.

I'm Irish and can't stand Notre Dame football. Can't wait though!

I'm Pro Ireland but dislike Notre Dame but I think the idea of this game is COOL!

If my team ever got to play in IRELAND...I'd be there in a heart-beat!

ND-Navy kinda eliminates ability/need to watch College Gameday that morning. And yes, expect games into the evening that weekend. Pac-12 Network will probably have games that evening and ESPN2 likely will as well. They have NASCAR in the early evening at 7pm, so they'll probably do a game after that. Decent chance that Oklahoma-UTEP ends up in late evening too since a 10pm ET = 8pm El Paso.

This is the second time that ND and Navy have played each other in Ireland. The other time was in 1996 in the Shamrock Classic at Croke Park in Dublin.

We were in Ireland for eight days last June.

I wish that we were attending this game but could not make that work. We plan to return to Ireland again soon.

I definitely plan to be on O'Connell Street in Dublin by the General Post Office in April, 2016, the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising that led to Irish independence from Great Britain.

As a dual citizen (USA/Ireland), I often think about retiring in Ireland. We shall see.
