Poythress is from Clarksville which is near Nashville. No surprise Vandy was a strong contender.

I agree with Jedi that its really not that important.

However, if he does ask out of his LOI with a certain coach taking the Knicks job, then he wouldn't be allowed to attend another SEC program like Vandy.

This is a ridiculous thread. So f'ing what. Did Vandy sign Poythress? Did being second help them at all?

Pastner seems to swing for the fence a lot. He misses a bunch. But he did sign out of the area guys like Shaq, Wilson, Will Barton. Those probably seemed improbable. I think being in the Big East will do a lot to help sign future recruits. I'd rather see him aim high than just sign guys to fill a roster. When things get tough, he lowers the expectations.
