West Virginia AD thinks that the Big 12
should learn from the Big East's mistakes. I think he is right.

Yes, I know it should go on the expansion board but we need anything we can to help kick this board alive. 03-lmfao

I think he's right too, and since he's one of the leading candidates to become the next Big XII commissioner I think his opinions will carry some weight with those who matter...

There's a lot of smoke surrounding BYU. But I'm not certain they're a slam dunk. It all depends on the LDS church leadership, not the people at BYU...

B-12 draws a line from Iowa to NYC & takes schools in that corridor.
if Buffalo could ever get thier athletics programs on solid groud.
Tex would love to have them from acadamic side.
one thing I don't understand, Why B-12 So. does not want CCG.
they won 11 out of 15 & yr Okla got upset, They went to NCG anyway

Texas would not love Buffalo, no matter how you look at it, dude. As far as Longhorn fans are concerned, Buffalo doesn't exist...

It seems that Texas is the only one who is against a championship game. David Boren from OU says he would like to see us go back to 12 members. Simple fact is, the more members the Big 12 has, the less influence the Univ. of Texas has. And, trust me on this, UT has no idea that the U. of Buffalo even exists, much less covets their academic prowess.

Hopefully we can expand with quality schools. We need to secure this thing for the long term as an elite league.

BYU would do the trick - that is for sure. Would beat the heck out of the PAC addition - Utah.

Not sure that I would agree with this statement.

We do need to secure the league for the "long term" but we also need to make sure that Baylor, Iowa St., Kansas, Kansas St., TCU and maybe others will not be put in the position they were in when Texas and OU were talking to the PAC about possible membership. We need enough teams to be able to say adios, good luck, to any member that chooses to leave when the current pacts and contracts expire. There appears to be strenghth in numbers.

If we can land ACC teams, go east to 14 or 16 teams with ACC teams or UL.

If we can't do that, grab BYU and UL and stay at 12. BYU and WVU would be our best shot at having any remote divisional balance in the north out of the teams left to us. BSU is too big a risk should they fall from their current standard like Marshall did in CUSA.

Best course of action IMO. Others don't add enough.
