Free Away Game
Normally don't make it to the away games, but with the incentive this year might try to find a weekend that works.

Anyone have any suggestions for MAC away games.

Was thinking W Mich, because of proximity..

I will go to the WMU game and will do my best to also go to the BSU game.

FYI the due date is August 1st to put your order in. They don't have high expectations so lets show them wrong.

If anyone is not going to use their 2 free tickets please give them up to other Huskie fans....I need 2 for BSU!

RE: Free Away Game
So I was confused by the letter. Was this 2 free tickets per SEASON TICKER HOLDER or two free tickets for each SEASON TICKET you have?

For example, does someone who has 4 season tickets receive up to 8 tickets or are they limited to 2 tickets?

WMI all the way. Can't beat it with it being so close!!

This is 2 free tickets to 1 game. It doesn't matter if you have 1 or 100 season tickets.

I will probably go to WMU, particulaly since I will not be able to attend most of our home games this year. I already told my wife to put it on the calendar with no excuses. Even if I drop dead, it better not be on that day.

A good friend/NIU alum lives outside Indy, so I probably will go to the Ball State game. Any suggestions of things to do/avoid in Muncie. I've heard it's hardly the garden spot of the Hoosier State, but I've never been there. Would like to avoid any obnoxious Ball State fans.

The turnout will be based on the out of conference record, if NIU goes 4-0, they might not be able to keep up on demand from this promotion.

I've never been anywhere except BSU a couple years ago. Would like to go to WMU this year, hopefully we can get a good contingent there. I don't have any tickets though so if someone ends up with extra....

I didn't find any good places to go while in Muncie but I wasn't there long.

I went to WMU before, very nice stadium and a pretty easy drive.

If you go to their football stadium, you should be just fine.

How do you figure... NIU can't sell out home games, most MAC games I have seen look empty.

Even in 2003 the away crowd for NIU was never going to give the opposition a sell out.

For round numbers lets say there will be 4000 season tickets sold this year. The average season ticket holder has 4 seats. So that is about 1000 individual season ticket holders. That means there will be a maximum 2000 MAC away tickets that could be given out at. Realistically no more than 50% of these people will actually take up the offer. Then people will be split 70/30 between going to WMU and BSU. This would have 700+ going to WMU and 300+ going to BSU on top of maybe a few hundred more that would make the trip anyways.

Unless the MAC opponent that we face is also undefeated or ranked I don't see our fans showing up enough to cause the game to be sold out.

Wrong. In 2003, BGSU drew 31,007, which was a sellout, when the Huskies came to town.

It is very unlikely I will be able to attend any away games. I would be happy to donate my 2 extra tickets to someone.

NIU had a BIG contingent at that game. Multiple student buses made the trip. That game probably would not have sold out without the large turnout of NIU fans.

Weren't there several hundred people (non-ticketed) outside the gates of the endzone watching the game? (I seem to remember that on TV but could be wrong)

That would be nice to see in person...though with a better result!
