Ziegler/Cooper Transfer Updates
According to Mlive.com, CMU's Trey Ziegler has visited Duke and Pittsburgh and has had conversations with UCLA, Michigan St and LSU. He would like to talk to Michigan who was in his final 3 when he decided to play for his dad at CMU, but they have not shown any interest to date despite having multiple scholarships available because of transfers.

DJ's Coopers mother told WOUB that he is staying at Ohio U for his senior season and that he has met with new coach Jim Christian and is very excited.

RE: Ziegler/Cooper Transfer Updates
I thought I had read that Michigan had oversigned by 3 recruits in the 2012 and 2013 classes. This could be the reason they aren't interested....or the fact that he isn't a very good shooter.

I could be wrong though.

RE: Ziegler/Cooper Transfer Updates
ziegler never really came together as a player under his dad, but clearly is a talent with good size strength and skills. he may well start and fit in at a place like pitt. that cmu team was not fully functional but had talent.

cooper leaving was never more than a rumor although there was clearly pain groce's quick parley. while cooper was sloppy at times during the regular season he was excellent when it mattered until losing his shot against the n caro defense. cooper has an elite level of passing skills and knows how to create angles while breaking your ankles. he is the superior player at this point and the news that he is indeed back in the mac is great for the league.

next year mac hoops should be good (after being pretty decent this year). eastern will be loaded... really, big and athletic. they bring some high profile transfers into the mac. i don't know about chemistry or if murphy can put it together but he will put an impressive squad on the floor. the rest of the east is questionable which means the rockets and eagles could put together another fight for the division but maybe be more like 11-5 mac teams.

akron and ohio will be fighting for ncaa berths. kent better than predicted. buffalo pretty goad and bg decent.

Biggest problem with Cooper is that he can't shoot. FG% for his three years, 37%, 35%, 38%.
