I feel bad for him. Nobody deserves to have Rob Ianello thrown at them as a head coach. He showed great promise under JD Brookhart but Rob Ianello and Ron Powlus ruined his career. He could still do well in the right system.

Not sure where he will transfer to. Maybe Youngstown State.

Was Nicely the QB that was committed to BG and then switched to Akron? Or was BG just one of his final choices? I can't remember.

Actually believe he was a Toledo verbal prior to the coaching changes.

Nope...he was a BG verbal who considered UT after GB got fired and Timmah hired Campbell and Ward at TU.

Lake Erie is a small DII school in Lake County, east of Cleveland.

I thought they moved up to the FCS. I don't really pay attention to stuff like that.

It's been a while so my memory might be a little off, but I seem to remember Nicely considering Toledo and BG and committing to BG over Toledo. Then he reopened his recruitment but was not considering Toledo any longer and committed to Akron.
