Dude, the vast majority of cases don't arise because people can't "operate their own damn feet" and those that do aren't successful because foreseeability is a defense. Say you're walking around Wal Mart and a box from overhead falls off the shelf, or you turn the corner and there's a loose extension cord you trip on, or some employee in a cart runs into you. Or there is a ramp you're walking down and slip because a carpet cleaner let soapy water leak onto it and you hit your head and suffer brain damage, which is one of my cases actually (not Wal Mart). Are you going to do nothing about this injury caused by the multinational corporation because you're not the "litigious type?" Something tells me when this isn't theory and you have tens of thousands in medical bills and possibly even permanent disfigurement you change your tune. But for now you get your conservative boy scout badge for defending big corporations.

You've made clear that if it is Wal-Mart you won't take the case because the effort required to litigate it for you is just too much. You've made an assessment around cost/benefit. Don't make believe like you're some champion of the little guy who only wants to do right by him.

You're just as much a blood sucker as the corporations you rail against.

50%? You bold faced liar. I very clearly said 1/3, which is standard. And keep in mind it also means I get zero in some cases.

I produce fairness, so that those productive corporations pay for harms they cause to injured people, which they're not going to do out of the kindness of their hearts

And how much of that "fairness" are you willing to produce without a 30-40% contingent fee?

I do pro bono cases too, about 2-3/year. Last year I helped a girl divorce her husband who beat her while pregnant and I helped a couple people fight off eviction attempts by their slumlords. I'd say as far as charity work goes I probably have most of you beat.

Interesting that you throw out she was pregnant to re-enforce your faux sainthood yet would have had no issue if she'd decided to kill the kid in her womb. I guess when you can exploit pregnancy you're not as against it.

Guess all your cases settle out of court. Do you even know what the inside of a courtroom looks like?

If I were you, I wouldn't brag my math. Your comprehension of national financial matters is more academic than practical.

Then EXPLAIN how what I said had anything to do with settlements or rate of settlement.

You can't because it doesn't.
