See, you asked nicely though I really don't see how where it came from matters. To me the source isn't as important as the ideas in the article.

Great. Cal Thomas wrote it.

It's still a fluff piece of conservative biased opinion and not worth the bandwith wasted reading it.

The only thing idiotic is the article.....that and your flimsy attempts to support the unsupportable.

RE: Obama's second term...?
If the SCOTUS upholds Obamacare, I fully expect him to try and do some radical stuff in his second term. He won't however likely have Congressional backing for anymore nonsense. I hope he has the balls to address the drug war and military interventionism. Sadly...I doubt he is smart enough or has balls big enough to do so. He will likely just be a typical politician pandering to his party's base and concentrating on some new way to increase the size of government. It won't occur to him to be a hero and cut anything.

Would you trade the end of the War on Drugs for the roll-out of Obamacare?

No. I wouldn't sacrifice one freedom for another.

The Drug War isn't an important issue with most of the electorate.

That's not an important issue with most of the electorate either.

The economy, the defecit, health care, and gas prices will be more important to voters. The economy is more important than the other issues combined.

I agree that its not the most important issue, but it will be addressed and may play a bigger role than expected if some of the southern boder states are swing states this year.

The states along the southern border will not be in play. Texas and Arizona go red, California goes blue, New Mexico could go either way but won't decide the election.
