Haven't followed UC football in a while, but is the game against VT in DC really not nationally televised? Also whats with the conflicting dates for the UofL game?

From the release on owlsports.com:

"Temple holds a series edge over Army (5-4), Cincinnati (9-4-1), Connecticut (8-4), and Louisville (3-2)"

Temple's 15th season in the Big East

Temple fans have to be looking at that schedule and smiling big time. Nova, Maryland, Pitt, Penn State, Rutgers, UConn, Army, Cincy and Syracuse on it. All traditional and/or regional opponents for the Owls. Naturally, Rutgers is already playing it up as the return of long-time rival Temple to the conference schedule for the first time since 2004.

It's my admittedly unfounded belief that the Big East "powers that be" attempt to project the conference frontrunners and match them up on the final weekend. This belief is again reinforced when I see UL and Rutgers scheduled on the final week, even if it is a Thursday game.

I agree but I don't think it's a secret. I thought it was widely accepted, even if unspoken. Take a look at the conference schedule and you have a good idea how the media and coaches will vote in the preseason poll over the summer.

I would love to start each season with UK and finish with UC as both are great rivals and UC and UL both lately play for the Conference title or at least with in a shot of it. Always like USF late in the season.ought to be a fun season though.

With that schedule, Temple has a good opportunity for the Lambert Trophy, if they're up to the task...
