Lets start a new tradition at NIU to shine a light on the atrocity being committed by the Toledo "justice" system.

At the conclusion of the third quarter of all football games, lets hold up SIX FINGERS - five fingers to salute the victims of 2/14/08 and an additional MIDDLE FINGER pointed East towards Toledo.

At the very least, this should be done at the Toledo game after the third quarter as our Huskies take a 30+ point lead into the fourth quarter.

Let's give the DA in Toledo probable cause to charge the entire football team with sodomy.

I think that when Toledo takes the field before the game everyone on the East side (and West side if you want) turns their back to them. I remember it being done a few times in the early 00's but don't think its been done since then.

In an age of litigation gone wild and when some bruise easily making a mountain of this mole hill with six fingers only gives credence to what seems rather absurd and , of such little significance plus an easy, low key and direct fix.

This would be way too easily confused with us giving steven k the finger instead, could come across horribly.

like the idea of giving the finger to the east though, lol, funny, but just wouldn't execute well. It would end up with everyone on the student side giving the finger to the person sitting behind them. I see some good ol' drunken brawls coming out of this lol

Had no idea you all did that with the five fingers. What a nice thing to do. If you want to give me the finger why not do it early in the game-sullying something as important as that tradition-well, I can't believe anybody would even consider that. Give us the finger when the bands run off the field or something. We'll all be crushed and hurt by that gesture but we have broad shoulders. Interfering with the other tradition is just weird....

Correct. The NIU band will more than likely be the only one playing the Toledo fight song. Unless, of course, ESPN allows the game to be played on a Saturday (extremely unlikely).

Well if that does happen, and Toledo band comes. I will get my lawn chair, some beers and wait for the their band to show up, and as soon as they get off the bus, non-stop booing. or maybe I will try to walk through them to get to "where I need to go". Each time I bump into one of them, I will say excuse me, didnt mean to assault you.
