dude...why don't you stick to the subject matter?
Whoever said that Syracuse was a LEADER in the ACC?
Why are you getting sooooooooooo upset that I just posted how weak attendance is traditionally for the A-10 and how the ACC was looking at the possibility of bringing their conf tourn to NYC in the future?
Also, what does conf tournaments have to do with 1st round NCAA games?
Heck, it wasn't that long ago that the ACC held their Conf Championship Tourn in TAMPA.
Zero reason to get upset over something that may (maybe in 5 years) or may never happen.
Heck, just the "threat" of moving the ACC Tourn to the NYC area will probably help the ACC secure HIGHER bids from their normal tourn sites in the future (i.e. Greensboro, Charlotte, Atlanta, etc...)
1. Im not upset, so please don't say i am. There is not one part of any of my posts that even hints that im upset because i'm not. It seems you are the one who is upset that someone has a different opinion.
2. You said in your own post that Cuse was one of the leaders.
3. I am sticking to the subject matter. Im showing you how unlikely it is because Duke and UNC do not like to travel FAR from their home bases for these events.
4. Home NCAA games shows the power these two school possess.

Less about ACC power, more about the fact that Greensboro and Winston-Salem can bid every year without any interference with pro sports schedules. Also, with Charlotte and Raleign, they've got only one pro team to be concerned about, not two as in many arenas in Eastern markets like Atlanta, Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, etc. This is a big reason MSG never gets NCAA tournament games, because it can't commit to these dates without upsetting the NBA and NHL schedules.
Do Duke and UNC get a pass? Probably, but if you seed one of these teams in the East and these are the arenas that win the bid every year, they're going to play there.
Another issue: college arenas in the East are often too small to host the events on its own where as an arena at Arizona or New Mexico or Texas can fill the need easily.

MSG never got the NCAA tournament because they hosted the NIT tournament. NIT and the NCAA were never on friendly terms with each other. Now that the NCAA owns the NIT, MSG has a better chance of hosting the NCAA tournament in the future.
