Quantify from your perspective how we have improved as a team so we can understand your angle.

I already have about 5 or 6 times the last 3 days. Just research it if you really wanna know. This argument is stale at this point

I suspect you already know the answers, just don't agree.

I don't because you never answer a question directly. So let's try again....Quantify from your perspective how we have improved as a team so we can understand your angle.

If you have an answer, it probably would have taken you less time to type it than the reply you just did.

and I just sayed I've aready had this discussion about 5 or 6 times in two days.

I'm sick of it and its not getting us anywhere.

If that pisses you off then oh well.

I'll help you Jedi. I know how much you were abused by other posters this weekend on the board, so you're probably a little scared of a discussion. I don't blame you...you took a real beating multiple times.

In any case, let's make this simple…here is how Pastner ranks quantifiable success over the course of a season:

2010-11
CUSA Regular Season Champ: Fail
CUSA Tourney Champ: Succeed
Make NCAA Tourney: Succeed
Advance in Tourney: Fail
Win NCAA Championship: Fail

2011-12
CUSA Regular Season Champ: Succeed
CUSA Tourney Champ: Succeed
Make NCAA Tourney: Succeed
Advance in Tourney: Fail
Win NCAA Championship: Fail

Wins, beating ranked teams, etc are just part of the path to achieve these goals. I’m not hung up on the top 25 losses as long as we make the tourney and advance. Beating top 25 teams would make that goal easier to achieve, but it’s not the ultimate goal.

Looking at these measureables, the only improvement was winning the CUSA regular season title.

And if we are measuring our program’s success on CUSA titles, then I will say we have taken a huge step back from where we were as a fan base a few short years ago. Wouldn't you agree, my friend?

Sylvester. I doubt anyone here even read this crap.

Just the opening childish attacks on me say all that needs to be said about your posts. You are not looking for a discussion, you are looking for a fight so you can call people names and be an a##hole.

Why are you getting so upset? I'm just presenting you with facts and you get all flustered and can't respond.

Or you're just trolling.

In any case, you are showing your youthful age once again.

Then you just outed yourself, because that is your pattern in every single thread. It's not difficult to see young man.

You might want to start deleting all your posts to rid yourself of the evidence.

We are stagnant you are dumb if you don't understand that. We are not improving. We are at the same spot as last year not better. One and done

WE have are clearly an improved team over last year. If you wanna be a simpleton and scream that we lost in the first round and that's all that matters then go for it.

How else can you argue it?

By not pretending one single game is the only measuring stick to a teams improvement or develpoment

DUH
This one single game is where it counts. It's not like an OOC game where you can come back and play your way into the tourney. The tourney is the measuring stick for basketball success in college. The "one game" is all that counts then the next game is all that counts because it is one and done. I respect you sticking up for Pastner, I really do, but we are no better than we were last year on paper. I think we are better talent wise but it didn't happen on the court. We should have beat STL. Could we have beaten MSU? Maybe maybe not, but we don't know because we didn't win the one we were supposed to win. If we played out game this was not an easy win but a likely win. That game was sloppy and I think Pastner should have adjusted. All good coaches adjust.

People bring up Coach K losing to Lehigh but Coach K has how many championships under his belt? So the marquee team losing to the lower seed doesn't apply here IMO.

You last sentence says it all.

Of course Jedi can't answer anything directly because he has no argument.

classy

Maybe we just don't feel the need to justify CJP to angry trolls on a message board who wanna just trash everyone who won't agree with them.

just sayin

Look up what a troll is and look at my post count. As Sly pointed out you won't answer a question directly so you call someone a troll with no explanation. If anything I've been the one getting trashed in my criticism of CJP. Pastner knows this criticism comes with that position. If he can't handle that then he has no business being a head coach. It's nothing against him personally but as tiger fans we want more than an appearance at the dance we expect to go deep. This isn't football season.

So once he beats a top 25 team what will you say?
