You kind of figured there was some hometown processes in the works here. Very unfortunate that college affiliation is threatening the future of a student-athlete. 8 years in jail just seems too severe for pushing someone down.

I hope Coach Doeren publicly defends Bass. What Bass did was wrong but this is just not a felony situation. Coach Doeren is slightly responsible for this situation, so I hope he steps up and supports him.

I would hope he and everybody involved in the university does. Look, what he did was wrong, but he doesn't deserve this.

What about the morons in the grand jury who decided there was enough evidence to charge Bass. This entire situation is a joke.
