RE: Sweet 16 celebration thread
We don't always play an aesthetically pleasing type of basketball. Mick don't roam the sidelines whining, barking and campaigning for calls but this team gets it done. They've been on the verge of being knocked out a few times this year but this team is at it's best when it's back is against the wall. They're a hard bunch to figure out that's for sure.

This feels good folks and props to cincy for having 2 teams in the sweet 16. I know you guys don't like XU but it's still pretty bada$$. I can't imagine the buzz thats going on in that town. I mean can any of you turn your head and not see UC or xu hats or shirts? You guys probably got a bunch of UK as well. Must be a madhouse down there.

Mick complains very diplomatically, in an attempt not to show up the officials. He just kind of extends his arms and give a pleading sort of stare.

This win feels so good that I honestly don't really care about X, one way or the other. I suppose if you want to look at it with the glass half full, and forget the hate for a second, this does raise the profile of our annual game quite a bit.

I could care lessa bout X either. Everyone knows they are an average team that just got a complete fluke draw with Duke losing. Nothing more to see there.

I however, wish that stupid Crosstown game would be cancelled. The media in this city will always spin it to make the new Thug U look like the good guys and UC the bad guys. It's not worth it for UC to play that game.

Could care less about eggs. Can't root for low class thugs who do not do it the right way. Also, an institution which sweeps rapes/sexual assualt caes under the rug.

Wife had the Channel 19 morning show on this morning - stories in OU and Eggs back to back and no UC. Media could care less about UC. I could care less about eggs.

I kept laughing at how insanely angry Leonard Hamilton (dude has one facial expression) and how relaxed Mick looked. After one bad call Mick just started cracking up and held his arms out.

Yep and the media in this city falls right in line with the cover-up. Also, dont forget affairs with coaches' wives.

The sarcastic smile and laugh with a couple of F bombs thrown in is Mick's go to move after a questionable call.

One of his best ever was the WVU game where he ran out to the center of the court after regulation. I believe that was same game where he had to be held back while yelling, "**** him. **** that mother ******." at an official.

RE: Sweet 16 celebration thread
I really haven't seen a lot of Xavier gear/supporters around and I live on the heavily Catholic westside. At my watering hole, the proportion of UC to XU supporters (not necessarily fans) was probably 95-5 or maybe 90-10. But actually, that is about the average of graduates for UC/X also. Kinda surprising.
